As most of you know Flu season is here and we have had to adapt the way we run our Flu clinics to adhere to social distancing and to keep you and our staff as safe as possible.

We will be running clinics on Saturdays and weekday evenings throughout September and October. You can book your flu appointment by calling the hotline number 07733453026 between 12pm and 3pm and booking via SystmOnline, when booking online please ensure you are booking into the correct slot type for your age group e.g. Over 65s, Under 65s at risk.

Please arrive as close to your appointment time slot as possible and ensure you wear a face covering. We also ask you to wear a short sleeve top so that you are ready to bevaccinated, this way we can ensure patients are in and out with minimal delay.

Please go to the front door and queue, there will be staff who will guide you and call you in once the nurse is ready for the next patient.

Please note that, if you are aged between 50 and 64 and not in a clinical at risk group, the earliest you will be offered a flu vaccination is November, providing there is sufficient vaccine. No appointments will be offered for people in this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are aged 50 to 64 and are in a clinical ‘at risk’ group which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.

Our front doors are now open for access to the reception and dispensary only. Patients are still requested to wait outside under the tree or in their cars if they are waiting to see a clinician.  We are not booking GP appointments at the front desk so please continue to use eConsult or phone the surgery.

In line with the current guidance, patients are now required to wear face coverings when coming in to the surgery for face-to-face appointments. This is to protect you and our staff. All our staff will continue to wear PPE including surgical masks for all face-to-face appointments.
