Cathedral Medical Group response to CQC findings
Whilst we are pleased to receive an overall rating of GOOD, which is an excellent achievement, we think it important to share feedback on what CQC picked up as areas for improvement and how we have addressed their concerns.
CQC finding
• Ensure all staff has received either a disclosure and barring service check (DBS) or an
associated risk assessment.
CMG response
We have asked our volunteer driver to undertake a DBS check and have initiated a DBS check for our Health Care Support Worker (HCSW). Our HCSW does not deal with children and we are currently awaiting notification of outcomes of these.

• Put arrangements in place to address the gaps identified for the safe management of medicines.
- The issuing of medicines prior to prescriptions being signed by the Gp at our Dispensary.
- Medicines requiring refrigeration were not always stored securely.
