Dermal Fillers at Cathedral Medical Aesthetics
Cathedral Medical Aesthetics offer a range of dermal fillers to treat many different signs of ageing and enhancing natural features.
As we get older collagen production in the skin begins to decrease and the signs of ageing become more pronounced. Dermal fillers are non-permanent products used to increase volume in the skin so relaxing lines and filling wrinkes.
They are naturally reabsorbed by the body over a periood of time. The length of time depends on the type of product used and the place of the injection.
What are dermal fillers used for?
-
Nasolabial folds
-
Lip lines
-
Jaw line / Jowls
-
Marionette lines
-
Chin creases
-
Cheek enhancement
-
Hand rejuvination
How effective is the treatment?
The length of time the filler will last will depend on the chosen product but is usually 6-18 months. This can be discussed at your consultation. The results of dermal filers are immediate. Top-up and follow up treatments will enhance the effect.
Can it be painful?
Anaesthetic creams or a local anaesthetic injection are used to minimise the discomfort of injections. Following the treatment some people may experience slight bruising, redness or itching. This usually lasts a day or two. You should avoid excessive sunlight or sunbeds until the swelling or redness has resolved.
