When booking an appointment on the internet, we would like to ask new and existing patients to ensure appointments are booked appropriately. We do not offer telephone appointments via this facility, only face-to-face consultations.

The following conditions are dealt with by a doctor, but this list is not exhaustive:

  • abdominal pains
  • depression
  • elderly if very unwell
  • fits and faints
  • headaches/migraine
  • investigations
  • knee injuries
  • ongoing problems
  • pregnant and bleeding
  • tiredness
  • urinary tract infection - men (women can see a practice nurse)
  • under 1 year olds (except nappy rash and conjunctivitis)

Nurse Practitioners can diagnose and treat many minor illnesses. Other conditions may be dealt with by having a telephone consultation, e.g. back pain, diarrhoea and vomiting.

If you are unsure as to whether you need to see a doctor or nurse please do not use the online service to book your appointment, but contact us by telephone. We will then ensure you are seen in the most appropriate clinic, which will save time for yourselves, and our doctors will be able to see more urgent cases.
