The Patient Group Needs You!

What is the Patient Group?

A Patient Group is a group of people who are patients of the surgery and want to help it work as well as it can for patients, doctors and staff. We are looking for a new chairperson and new members to join our committee.

Why should I join?

You have been to the surgery as a patient, parent, carer or friend. Your experiences matter and you can bring different ideas to the surgery to help us treat patients better or to improve what we do in some way. You will also gain a better understanding of the NHS, and gather feedback from other patients.

How often does the Patient Participation Group meet?

We meet at the surgery, but not too often. We know that you are busy, so we meet only a few times per year and hope that you can join us.

How can I join?

If you feel you may be able to help on the committee, or would like to learn more please visit our website https://www.cathedralmedicalgroup.nhs.uk/patient-group/ and email patientgroupcmg@gmail.com to let them know you are keen to help. Someone on the committee will get back to you. Alternatively, you can contact Heidi Raza, Practice Manager, who will be delighted to give you more information.

To be effective the Patient Group does need patient participation. If you would like to hear from them occasionally but prefer not to attend meetings, please send an email to confirm this to patientgroupcmg@gmail.com. Carers of registered patients may also join the group.

For data protection reasons the Patient Group cannot use the Practice’s email database to contact you. Your email address will only be used by the Patient Group to seek your views and to keep you informed. It will be kept separate from the Practice’s contact details.
