If you’re planning a trip abroad and think you will require some vaccinations, please have a look at the websites below and make a 30-minute face to face travel appointment in our travel clinic. Ensure you inform reception of your planned destination when booking this appointment and please bring your itinerary with you. Due to current capacity, these appointments are limited. Please be aware that many vaccinations can take up to 14 days to be effective and some require a course of injections over several weeks or months. We would therefore ask you to come to the surgery in advance of your trip overseas, which should be at least 8 weeks prior to the expected date of travel.

If there is not sufficient notice prior to your travel plans, you will be directed to use a private travel service elsewhere.

If you have already attended a private travel service and wish to have some of their vaccinations on the NHS, our nursing staff are legally obliged to assess your vaccination requirements themselves. We cannot accept internet or other provider’s conclusions. Again, we require 8 weeks notice for this process.

The NHS does not provide all vaccinations so there may be a charge for some.

You can find up-to-date travel information and advice on the following websites:

If, for any reason, you are unable to attend an appointment we would very much appreciate you contacting the surgery to cancel or re-arrange the appointment. Other patients may benefit from the released appointment.
